Could this be the year?

Ok…  with major life changes currently in the works, it is looking like 2011 might just be the year I finally get this Ghia down to Georgia.  I’m very excited to start work on this.

I know I keep saying that, but it has to happen at some point.

Wish me luck.

This is the coolest Ghia I’ve seen to date!

Ok, I’m truly inspired.  I was wondering what one could do to a Ghia to make it completely bad assed, without too heavily modifying it.  I came across this.

Granted, there is a lot of work done to this car.  I am especially intrigued by the headlight conversion (Mercedes?), the mirrors and the vents in the rear.

This might be something to look into.  Something I wont need are these huge rear tires.  If I correct, this is the Ghia with the V10 Viper engine in it.

What colors do the kids like?

Although the Ghia will be yellow, I thought it would be interesting to see what colors the kids liked.  I did a Google image search of Ghias and let them pick.

Ben chose this blue color.  Not bad; pretty classy.

Madie went the pink route.  That is one bright car.  Hoy!

Until next time, see ya.

Hello 2011

2011 is here and still nothing is done to the Ghia.  I’m beginning to wonder if I will ever get it down here.

I don’t have any news currently; I just wanted to post up to say I was still here.

Custom Engine Bay

So again, I sit here trying to find pictures of custom engine bays and again, I’m coming up empty handed.  There just doesn’t seem to be a lot documented on these cars.  I found this.  I think it looks nice.

Looking for custom interiors

I was looking online, unsuccessfully, for some Ghias with custom interiors.  All I found was this.

Not a fan of this at all.  I’d get lost in the monochromatics…  and the bolt…  HOY!

Another internal conflict I’m having is the exterior color.  I feel obligated to yellow, but I keep seeing other colors that really appeal to me.  Like this one.

I really like this; it’s very classy.  What to do…  what to do…
